Chelsea season for the 2019-2020 campaign came to an end last night after their elimination from the UEFA Champions League.
Frank Lampard who was appointed at the start of the season as Maurizio Sarri successor missed the chance to lift a silverware as Bayern Munich thumped his side 4-1 at the Allianz Arena stadium on Saturday night.
Recall that Blues had lost the first leg at Stamford Bridge 3-0 back in March before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic and ever since then, they planned on how to get higher than their expectations.
Lampard also missed out in the FA Cup after two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw Arsenal lift the Cup at Wembley stadium.
Although, the English international sealed a fourth spot for Chelsea in the league in order to play the Champions League next season. We can still see the blues at a good spot, thankfully.
Meanwhile, Lampard has began his transfer plan with the recruitment of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from Rb Leipzig.
Today, the club confirmed the exit of two stars after their contracts expired.
It's been reported that Willian and Pedro has departed the club. Both stars tinted down contract extension of two years offered by the club as they wanted more years in their contract terms.
