The thief who was later identified as Baron was caught as he tried to escape with a phone he stole from a student (a girl ) who stays at Harmony Lodge, junction.
According to eye witnesses , Baron entered Harmony Lodge and went straight to block D. He went in and beat up a student (who has chosen to be anonymous) in his room. As his neighbour tried to know what is happening to her nextdoor mate, she was greeted with a slap and her phone snatched from her.
She mustered courage to scream and boys from the lodge all came out in search of the thief who eluded at the first shout.
The manhunt was a bloody one , although successful , it was really bloody as they threw stones at him to get him out from where he was hiding. Baron the thief was caught as he tried to make away through the back of St Valentine’s lodge.
Witnesses say that the Baron was in their custody for hours as they tried to contact SARS and the police which were not forth coming.
During this waiting, Baron made so many controversial reports and gave information about himself and also threatened his captors that he’ll come back for them. According to Baron he is an Ex anticult of the campus and and he knows the officers they were calling to arrest him , and also he knows the girl whose phone he took.
He also made a shocking revelation that his girlfriend recently took sniper and killed herself and he just got released for SARS custody.
Afterall Police office came and took him to NTEJE POLICE STATION.
